Michigan Youth Squirrel Hunting – .410

Quinn’s youngest son Gavin turns 10 and wants to go squirrel hunting. This short video shows how just one hour in the woods can build a life-long memory. Gavin uses a single-shot .410 and brings home his first game animal ever.

We prefer shotguns for squirrels because of their short range. Many areas that we squirrel hunt are surrounded by houses and most of the shots we take are upward into the trees. .22s are fun but not practical in our area.

  1. My buddy and I planted our first food plot this weeeknd and it started raining about a half an hour after we got done and back to my cabin. Hopefully the rain will spring things into action soon. We will be checking up on it in two weeeknds and hopefully something will be starting to sprout.Posted by: iknowiforgotsomething
